Boost Your Immune System With Healthy Eating!
EAT YOUR FRUITS & VEGETABLES:
•Fruits and vegetables contain antioxidants, particularly vitamin C, flavonoids and polyphenols.
•Antioxidant rich foods such as guava, papaya, oranges, berries, kiwi, kale and broccoli protect cells from damage by toxins.
DRINK UP:
•Water helps us digest food and eliminate waste and toxins.
•Water is in our lymph – a part of the immune system that helps fight off illness.
GO WITH YOUR GUT – INCLUDE PROBIOTICS IN YOUR DIET:
•Eat plain yogurt as it is full of probiotics - good bacteria that lives in our gut.
AVOID REFINED SUGAR:
•White sugar and flour will depress the immune system, decrease energy level and cause weight gain.
KICK BACK AND RELAX:
•Treat yourself to a massage or hot bath.
•Our bodies respond to our emotions and if you feel stressed and upset, it can manifest in a sore throat or a cold.
•When you are happy, the chances of getting sick are greatly reduced.
